Local Area Information
Located on one of the most naturally beautiful stretches of the Yorkshire Coast, "The Bay" Filey is an exclusive development of holiday cottages and beach houses, situated off the A165 Filey to Bridlington road.
Beachside Cottage, 28 Turnberry Drive, can be found at the rear of the development.
The holiday cottage is perfectly situated for walks on the beach, chilling out on the patio, enjoying a barbeque with friends, or a picinic in the meadows. There is all you need at hand; for eating out there's a family pub, (The John Paul Jones), there's also a, small supermarket and pharmacy on site.
Beachside Cottage is the perfect base to explore the Yorkshire coast. Discover secluded coves, beautiful beaches and picturesque fishing villages. Visit the nearby Edwardian seaside town of Filey, 2-3 miles away, with its own five mile stretch of beaches, offering something for everyone.
Moving further north brings you to Whitby where you can discover its fascinating history and walk in the footsteps of Captain Cook and Count Dracula. Go back further in time to the idyllic traditional fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay and explore its ginnels and cobbled alleyways.
To the south lies Bridlington with its flat golden sandy beaches and both Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs are a haven for wildlife. Learn to surf at Scarborough or pay a visit to one of its four theatres. Visit Staithes and walk down the steep bank to the cobbled streets and quaint fishing harbour.
